Description
A pair of beautifully tsui-shu lacquered Takatsuki high-cups of 10.4 cm height and 10.4 cm diameter. In Buddhism, food offering is symbolic of the practitioner’s devotion and gratitude, but it also represents impermanence (the food decays), interconnectedness (the food came from many sources and will return to the earth), and the nourishing quality of the Buddha’s teachings.
